There is evidence of a level 'deserted' u-shape channel inland from the coast. It goes around the headland of Dinas Gynfor some 20 or so feet higher than high water mark. There are two schools of thought on how it was formed a) It is that Dinas Gynfor was an island and either the sea level has changed or the land level has changed. b) That it was a meltwater channel at the end of the Ice Age.
